AIR Institute Participates in the MILID Global Understanding Conference 2025 in Barcelona

On 28th and 29th April 2025, the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) hosted the second edition of the MILID Global Understanding Conference, organised by UNESCO, UNITWIN, and the MILID Network. The event aimed to foster international dialogue on media, information, and digital literacy (MILID) and its role in addressing misinformation across educational, social, and technological contexts.

In this setting, Carla González from the AIR Institute presented a poster on behalf of the SOILL-Startup project (Startup of the SOILL support structure for SOIL Living Labs). This European initiative, funded by the Horizon Europe programme as part of the “A Soil Deal for Europe” mission, seeks to enhance soil health by establishing and supporting a network of 100 Soil Health Living Labs and Lighthouses (SHLL/LHs) across Europe.

Explanation of SOILL's mission to young people actively involved in content creation and in formulating public policy recommendations to address disinformation and hate speech.

Participation in this international event not only provided an opportunity to share the objectives and achievements of the SOILL project with a multidisciplinary audience, but also to build connections with academic networks and key stakeholders in digital literacy, ethics, and environmental sustainability—areas closely aligned with the project’s goals.
