The AIR Institute participated in the fifth meeting of the GILL project consortium, held from 21st to 23rd May in Turin, Italy. Our colleague Margarita Cea López attended and, alongside project partners, shared updates on the various work packages, the current status of the project, and helped coordinate the next steps towards its final phase.

From 20 to 22 May 2025, the 1st European Conference on Small Forest Holdings took place, a key event in the framework of the project, bringing together numerous actors from the European forestry sector.

During Cybersecurity Week, held from 5th to 7th May in Salamanca, the AIR Institute played an active role in workshops and panel discussions, particularly standing out in the session on “International Projects” with a presentation on the progress of the CERTIFY initiative. The project focuses on securing the entire lifecycle of IoT devices through a security-by-design approach.

The town of Lerma, in the province of Burgos, became a hub of innovation in the wine industry as it hosted the first edition of DIGIVIT from 1st to 3rd May.

On 28th and 29th April 2025, the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) hosted the second edition of the MILID Global Understanding Conference, organised by UNESCO, UNITWIN, and the MILID Network.

At the AIR Institute, we are developing Quantum Shield, a project focused on post-quantum security and quantum machine learning for cybersecurity in smart manufacturing environments within Industry 4.0.
